President Obama believes the 1992 version of America’s “Dream Team” was better than the current crop of NBA stars who will represent the U.S. this month in the Summer Olympics in London.

In an interview with ESPN during an exhibition game against Brazil Monday, Obama said “I’ve got to go with the original Dream Team.”

He followed up that statement with an immediate nod to the current men’s basketball squad by saying they have “unbelievable talent” and “there’s no reason we shouldn’t bring home the gold.”

This year’s team includes superstars Lebron James and Kobe Bryant.

The 1992 team featured a slew of Hall of Famers like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, and Charles Barkley.
