I’ve said all along that the attribute in Mayweather’s skill set that will leave him first is his speed and Saturday he didn’t look as fast as he usually does and I guess you can credit that to Miguel Cotto punishing Junior in ways we’ve never seen.

However it was Mayweather that dominated the fight late, blasting Cotto in the 12th round to pull out a win and remain a perfect 43-and-0.
Mayweather won Cotto’s 154-pound title in the fight, which two judges scored 117-111 and the third 118-110. The decision was roundly booed by the crowd at the MGM Grand arena, which cheered wildly every time Cotto landed a punch.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. reports to prison June 1st to serve a 90 day sentence.
