Congrats to Minnesota slugger Jim Thome last night he hit two homers in the Twins’ 9-6 win over Detroit becoming the eighth player in MLB history to hit 600 career home runs.

The 40 year old became the second-fastest hitter to reach the milestone, belting his 600th homer in at-bat No. 8,137. Babe Ruth needed only 6,921 at-bats.

Thome joins Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr., Alex Rodriguez and Sammy Sosa in the 600 club.
