You can’t say you didn’t see this coming…

I told my guys on Sports Kings Radio right after the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs that Phil just looked incomplete as he wobbled to the locker room.

I woke up this morning surprised to see this headline “The Zenmaster may return to coaching in 2012.”

According to the “New York Post” Phil Jackson would consider becoming the head coach of the Knicks “if the right situation presented itself.”  We all know that  Phil is a former 2x champion player with the Knicks and it has always been rumored that he would eventually coach in the Mecca of Basketball, let me tell it the right situation has already presented itself in the form of the NBA Lockout.

Current New York head coach Mike D’Antoni’s contract runs the upcoming season but wait a minute…

According to most familiar with the situation, more than likely there won’t even be an upcoming NBA season and by the way reports are surfacing everyday regarding another player headed overseas  the possibility of no season, looks and sounds about right to me.

That brings us back to Phil… They say coaches get the itch after a year off and if the season is consumed by the lockout, that’s a whole year off for the legendary coach.

Could there ever be a better situation?

When is Phil going to retire and stay retired? All these people keep retiring and going back out to work again, guess he’s trying to be the most winning coach with the most rings..I believe Red Auerbach, Boston Celtics, still holds that title…
