Atlanta (WAOK)- Are you ready? Are you really ready? Because today, April 18, 2011 is officially the last day of the year to file your income tax returns with the IRS. If you still can’t file a completed tax return before the midnight deadline you can request a six month extension. IRS Spokesman Bill Brunson explains what you should do in case you want to file an extension.

For those of you who do not want  or need to file an extension, Atlanta post office spokesman Micheal Miles tells us some post offices will be open late to accept your return with a few tips for late mailers.

The Atlanta Main post office on Crown Road and the Boggs Road Postal store in Duluth will be open until midnight. The Decatur post office on Ponce will be open until 9 pm; and both the Marietta post office on Lawrence Street and Mount Bethel post office on Lower Roswell Rd will be open until 8 pm.
