Oscar winner Halle Berry paid tribute to a true Hollywood legend during the 83rd Academy Awards.

Halle Berry broke the racial divide when she won an Academy Award for “Best Actress” in 2001. Sunday, she honored a woman, who according to Berry paved the way for many who would follow.

Also honoring the memory of Lena Horne was Celine Dion who sang “Smile” during the presentation. The tribute ended the ceremony. Horne died last year at the age of 92.
