  1. Therese says:

I love what Dr Hare has to say about the churches being more proactive with their teaching, instead of preaching to their communities. We have a church on every corner in the black community, and all I see is blight and no progress. Most of these so called black leaders idea of progress is to go to a white university, make money for a white company, move into a white community, send your children to white schools, even marry white, and turn your back on black. All your resources are spent in white areas, that is why places like Buckhead, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, etc have better schools that Atlanta or South Dekalb. The church has failed us, they are more interested in building big churches and not taking care of the people sitting in their pews. I don’t want to go to a church to hear about what Jesus did two thousand years ago, address me and talk about my current situation. This is why more people are leaving the church, because we’re getting the same stale messages from the past that are not relevant to now.
