Jury selection is scheduled to begin today for the federal trial of five New Orleans police officers in connection with the post-Katrina shooting of a man whose body was later discovered in  a burned out vehicle. Former officer, David Warren, is charged with shooting 31 year old Henry Glover on September 2, 2005. Prosecutors allege that Lieutenant Dwayne Scheurmann and Officer Gregory McRae then torched a car, incinerating Glover’s body.

Two lieutenants on the force are also charged with obstructing justice.

    I hope they all get at the minimum, at least five years in prison for what they did to the many countless lives they destroyed. This police officer in Oakland, CA got 2 years for deliberate murder, lets hope that the citizens of New Orleans can get more than that…
