Memorial Day holds special meaning for many families throughout the U.S. . For those remembering friends or family members who lost their lives in service to their country, it is a time of commemoration and reverence. For those with friends or family members who served and returned home or continue to serve to this day, it is a day of pride and tribute. For the entire nation, it is a time to celebrate heroes who have fallen, fought and continue to fight so that the United States of America can remain free. Picnics, festivals, fireworks and good old-fashioned fun are the hallmarks of this three-day weekend dedicated to enduring freedom. Atlanta families won’t have to look far to find the perfect way to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend 2014 – May 24-26.
