Atlanta is a burgeoning city for movie stars, reality TV divas, singers and sports figures. Not to be left out of the limelight are business professionals from Marietta to Buckhead and Douglasville to Stockbridge. They are a prevailing special class. These professionals never know who they may encounter on a leisurely lunchtime walk through Atlanta’s Centennial Park, but they do know the importance of maintaining that professional look from head to toe wherever they go. While there are some retail chains able to meet the clothing demands of these local professionals, only a few specialty stores can specifically cater to these men and women wanting the comfort, look and feel that will put them a step above the rest.

Sid Mashburn
1198 Howell Mill Road
Atlanta, GA 30318
(404) 350-7135

Sid Mashburn is in a class all its own. As the Sid Mashburn website states, its “inspiration draws from Gordon Parks and Steve McQueen, from Charlie Feathers to Belle & Sebastian, from the 1971 BMW 3.0CS to the BMW 5 diesel station wagon — a fresh interpretation of old standards.” That’s it in a nutshell. The great thing about this store is that it focuses on more than just the clothing; the focus is on the attitude and the individual as a whole. The desire is to provide security and confidence for the person wearing the clothing. Men visiting will feel as though they have stepped into their second home and are in the midst of professionals seeking to cater only to their needs. It is not just about the clothing; it is about the entire being.

Ann Mashburn
1198 Howell Mill Road
>Atlanta, GA 30318
(404) 350-7132

Complementing Sid is Ann Mashburn, a totally different store with a unique view on women’s business and casual clothing. Classic khaki herringbone pencil skirts are on sale for $97.50 and well worth the purchase. Corduroy shirt dresses ($132.50) and lovely double-breasted sweaters are currently selling for $122.50 with matching knit pants. Ann Mashburn puts the comfort in classic with its knit cardigans, tees and tanks (staples in a woman’s wardrobe). Although $175 per pair, the comfy ballet flats come in a variety of colors. A favorite among many, the Lucchese riding boots at $900 are definitely an investment.
