Be prepared to be transported to the Aegean when you step into Kyma and try chef Pano Karatassos Greek take on seafood. The wood-grilled octopus is especially recommended. The Greek-themed decor may strike you as a touch over-the-top, but the simple preparations with lemon, olive oil and butter will knock your socks off.

Step into a throwback experience in this swank, mahogany space (tucked into a strip mall!) that evokes the classic Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station in NYC. Belly up to the oyster bar or be seated in a booth or on the banquette and dive into today’s catch. It can get loud when it’s crowded, so it might not be the best spot for an intimate meal. But chef-owner John Schwenk’s (of the Brasserie Le Coze) seafood selection will impress with its freshness and quality.

Alright, it’s not a seafood purist’s paradise, but we love Six Feet Under for its delightful fried fish fare. The menu is infused with Cajun influences. Six Feet Under restaurants are fun, raucous pubs with a great selection at the tap and delicious fish po boys or tacos. The price point is also a bit easier on your wallet than the other places on this list. If you’re in the mood for some fish comfort food, they’ll have you covered.
