They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, a big ol’ breakfast sandwich is one of the most delicious ways to kick off your morning. With plenty of local bakeries and breakfast spots throughout Atlanta, it may be hard to choose your favorite. These are some of our mouth-watering faves.

Highland Bakery
655 Highland Ave. N.E.
Atlanta, GA 30312
(404) 586-0772
www.highlandbakery.com

Highland Bakery is one of the most indulgent treat spots in Atlanta, with cupcakes in exotic flavors and tons of other treats waiting invitingly in the display case. The breakfast sandwiches are no exception to this rule of excellence – they will definitely wow you. Be warned that the portions here may be bigger than you’re used to at fast food chains. You may want to consider sharing with a friend unless you’re super hungry. There are several different bread choices, including a buttery biscuit, and the meats include a soy-sausage option for vegetarians.

Bantam & Biddy
1544 Piedmont Ave., Suite 301
Atlanta, GA 30324
(404) 907-3469

Bantam & Biddy is a tasty chicken rotisserie spot located right in the middle of Ansley Mall, making it a great place to stop before a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Its version of the breakfast sandwich is a “build your own biscuit” creation that lets you be the master of your munch. For a true Southern indulgence, use the fried chicken with an egg and cheese to create the perfect breakfast meal. You may need a nap afterwards, but you’ll be happy.

The Flying Biscuit
3515 Northside Parkway N.W.
Atlanta, GA 30327
(404) 816-3152

No mention of breakfast spots in Atlanta is complete without a reference to The Flying Biscuit. Of course, you’ll want your sandwich on one of its famous, buttery biscuits. This shop also has a full range of meat selections, including soy sausage on request, as well as eggs and cheeses. If you really want to treat your office to something special, you can even have a breakfast sandwich bar catered in for your crew.
