For as long as people have been drinking, there have been drinking games. The first evidence of a drinking game might be from the ancient Chinese––they used a simple roll of the dice to determine who, what and how much a person would drink. Some Atlanta bars carry on the tradition of mixing drinking and entertainment, games and competition to this day. If drinking itself doesn’t sound entertaining enough for your next night out, try venturing out to one of these establishments to get your “game on.”

The Indy boasts one of the best bars in Atlanta with $2 and $3 specials every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is The Independent’s famous 8-Ball pool tournament, which is one of the most competitive drinking games in Atlanta. Moondogs makes no bones about it––the bar caters to drinkers and patrons that are looking to have a good time. In between all the sing-alongs, rock music and dancing there are drinking games and they last long into the night. Step into the backroom where there are four custom beer pong tables and the city’s only custom flip table all set up and ready to go. Add in some darts and foosball for good measure and you and your group has found a home for the night. The specials change each and every week, but what doesn’t change is the free popcorn given to all patrons and fact you will have a great time each and every visit to Moondogs.
