Get your party hats and your noisemakers, New Year’s Eve is once again upon us and that means it’s time to say good bye to 2013 and ring in 2014 with any of the great concerts happening around the Atlanta on December 31. From some great national acts to some of Atlanta’s favorite local musicians to Widespread Panic making its yearly stop at Philips Arena, 2014 will start out with a bang when it comes to great concerts.

Widespread Panic at Philips Arena has quickly become a New Year’s Eve tradition in Atlanta to ring in the new year. Hailing from the one of the great music cities in Athens, Georgia, Widespread Panic is known for giving fans their money’s worth with long shows and a lot of interaction. No two Widespread Panic shows are ever the same, and the group tends to pull out all the stops in front of the home crowd. This show always sells out. Get your tickets if there are any left and enjoy the new rock and roll with Widespread Panic.

This upstart country music duo has been playing to sold-out crowds all over the country. These guys have a great sound and big hits like “Cruise,” “Get Your Shine On” and “Round Here.” “Cruise” actually went to No. 1 in 2012 and made this group the talk of the country music world. Fans get get up close to Florida Georgia Line on New Year’s Eve at a small venue like Wild Bill’s. This band has opened for all of the big acts in country music and now you can see the group as the headliner.

For over two decades, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ has been one of the most popular bands that call Atlanta home. Led by Kevin Kinney, this foursome has put out such hits like “Honeysuckle Blue” and “Fly Me Courageous,” but it is best known for putting on a first-rate live show. Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ is Southern Rock, but so much more. Kinney and the gang take some of the best of other bands from the region and then add their own sound. The group loves playing in its hometown and the Variety Playhouse will surely be rocking on New Year’s Eve.
