Variety really is the spice of life, and who wants to be stuck in one loud and smokey bar when there are four or more bars or events you can hit on a given night? That is what a pub crawl is all about, and while pub crawls trace their roots all the way back to England in the 18th century, they are now part of American culture and take place in just about every U.S. city including Atlanta. Piggybacking on the success of pub crawls, other events have sprouted up that may include a sporting activity or charitable cause paired with what many might call a pub crawl. Let’s take a look and some great themed pub crawls coming up in Atlanta.

You will start at one Mexican establishment, but don’t get too comfortable, because you will be heading to another in less than an hour. Tap ‘N’ Run AT-LAN-TUH combines a 4K run with a pub crawl. While this might not be a serious race, it’s a serious pub crawl. Participants are encouraged to dress in crazy costumes, enter as a team from your business or subdivision and have some fun as you stop at four to five drinking establishments along the race route. Some additional fun facts about this race: the trophies at the end of the race are bottle openers, the Tap ‘N’ Run t-shirts are legendary and at the end of the race, you receive your time so you can see how fast you ran and chugged beers. This event takes place annually in November.
