Teachers Volunteer To Give Free Reading Classes Following Budget Cuts

Earlier this month, funding issues caused Gwinnett County to cut 600 jobs after approximately $89 million was taken out of their operating budget, a drastic measure echoed in other counties throughout the state. Now, teachers at Benefield Elementary School in Lawrenceville are rallying for the sake of education, and volunteering to give free reading classes to any interested young students this summer.
