Game Day Report Card
The Atlanta Falcons were simply outplayed in every facet of the game against the Carolina Panthers. The only good thing about this game is that Atlanta still has four weeks before the Playoffs begin to fix the problem’s this team still has.
If winning a football game was based on style points, Atlanta would have been crushed in their 23-19 win against Arizona. However, the only thing that matters in football is the scoreboard.
No more will Atlanta have to worry about being the first NFL team to finish a season 19-0. With their first loss coming against the Saints, it’s time to figure out what went wrong, and make sure they don’t make the same mistakes again.
In a game featuring two of the top passing attacks, leave it to the game being decided on the ground. Atlanta may have trailed the majority of the game, but in the end, they remain the lone undefeated team in the NFL at 8-0.
Another game, another win for the Falcons. Now at 7-0 with a commanding lead in the NFC South the biggest question is when will Atlanta lose? If they play the rest of their games the way they did against Philly, that next loss may be a long ways away.
If Atlanta isn’t kissing the feet (or at least the right foot) of kicker Matt Bryant, now would be a good time to start. With two game-winning field goals in the past three weeks, it’s safe to say Atlanta may not be a perfect 6-0 without their clutch kicker.
