Falcons Quotes: Quinn, Ryan, Jones, White And More On The Loss To Indy

“The finish is such an important part of our messaging in our program, so for us to come down when we had the lead and not be able to answer is when it’s hard. Our philosophy is about the football, and I…

Hawks Lose Another Close One; Fall To The Nets Tuesday Night

NEW YORK — Forward Thaddeus Young knocked down two free throws with 1.4 seconds remaining and the Brooklyn Nets edged the Atlanta Hawks 90-88 on Tuesday. Young scored six of his 16 points in the fourth quarter when the Nets let a six-point lead slip away. His biggest points came after a tremendous defensive sequence by the Nets…

Mike Bell’s Top 5 – Power Rankings

1.) Clemson. After snapping a 3-year losing streak to its nemesis FSU, Clemson finally looks to have a National Championship in it’s sights. South Carolina won’t pose a problem, rivalry game or not, those chickens don’t have any talons. The biggest threat to the Tigers could be the high octane offense of the Tar Heels in Charlotte in the ACC Championship. Dabo Swinney better save up for the pizza party because barring an injury to Deshaun Watson this looks like a team of destiny…

Ouch! Former Dawgs QB Aaron Murray Loses Bet, Has To Wear FLA Gear

Sometimes, it’s wiser just to not make a bet on something. Florida was on a roll, Georgia was not. We love Aaron, but we wish he’d have passed on this one…

Carl Dukes: This Is Not On Dan Quinn – Stop It! Just Stop It!

THE FALCONS OFFENSE HAS shut down. The 49ers held Falcons running back Devonta Freeman in check. Freeman entered the game leading the league in rushing, but was held to 12 yards on 12 carries. The Falcons averaged 126 yards rushing per game, which ranked eighth in the league, before facing San Francisco… RIDICULOUS!

You know that feeling you get. That heartwarming, patriotic, I-love-this-country, it-sure-must-be-dusty-in-here, Yay-America feeling that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. The music, the red white and blue, the planes flying over, the men and women wearing camo and running or marching on to the field to wild applause and appreciation. Yeah, it’s nothing but advertising…

Carl Dukes: Mistake Prone Falcons Can’t Get Out Of Their Own Way

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bounced back after blowing a 17-point lead, getting a 31-yard field goal from Connor Barth in overtime to beat the mistake-prone Falcon 23-20 on Sunday. But as a fan I am disappointed! You should be too! This was another bad game for the Falcons who moved the ball up and down the field on the Bucs, but had nothing to show for it most of the day because they played undisciplined football! Matt was bad in the 1st half / Great in the 2nd. The Falcons sustained some injuries, but I will not make excuses for a team we should have beat. Jameis Winston throw for only 177 yards and a TD. But in Overtime “Dukesism” ‘when it matters most’ he played like a guy that had been in this situation numerous times. The story of this game was turnovers. The Falcons turned the ball over 4 times and had a hard time getting out of their own way. They kept themselves from putting points on the board and keeping the Bucs offense off the field with 11 penalties for 124 yards. Terrible!

Mike Bell: Will Saturday’s Cocktail Party Stinker Wake Up UGA Fans?

If that lifeless performance by Georgia in Jacksonville doesn’t have it’s fans questioning the direction of their football program, then nothing will. Mark Richt drops to 5-10 versus Florida. And once again the Bulldogs drop out of relevance for a championship…
