A picture taken from the Israeli coastal Mediterranean city of Tel Aviv shows the transit of Venus across the face of the sun on June 6, 2012. This rare astronomic event occurs in pairs, about eight years apart, roughly once a century. The most recent Venus transit was in 2004, it will not happen again until 2117.
