Sidney Wood is the Voice of Atlanta on News Talk 1380AM WAOK. With over twenty five years of broadcast experience, Sidney has worked at every significant radio station in Atlanta as an on-air talent. Wood received his education at North Springs High School (Atlanta), Morehouse College (Atlanta), and The University of Georgia (Athens).
Sidney is the president of New Covenant Communication, LLC, a firm which provides marketing and media services to ministries and those targeting the valuable faith-based marketplace.
A former president of the Georgia NAACP State Youth and College Division, Sidney has long been politically active and engaged in civic and community affairs. He is the executive director of The Atlanta Improvement Association and his dream is to someday serve as mayor of the city of Atlanta.
Brother Wood is a member of The Concerned Black Clergy of Metropolitan Atlanta and World Changers Church International. He is currently enrolled in Bible College and is the founder of The Great Salvation Evangelistic Association (Great Sea).
Sidney is the son of Sidney M. Wood, Sr. and LaVerne G. Wood, who are both alive and well in the metropolitan Atlanta area. He has one adult son, Sidney M. Wood, III.
A survivor, who is eight years cancer free, Sidney Wood lives each day to the full, confidently expecting a 100 year long abundant life.
