Bio:
Mo Ivory is the Director of Political-Community Outreach for CBS Radio Atlanta and host of “The Mo Ivory Show” on News/Talk 1380 WAOK. She is responsible for establishing and developing community outreach partners and sponsors for CBS Radio in order to plan, implement and support strategic corporate goals in the areas of social marketing, cause marketing and strategic philanthropy. She is also responsible for political outreach during election cycles including campaign and issue sales, business development and implementation of digital and social media strategies in order to provide timely, informative and relevant information and content on CBS Radio stations.
Ms. Ivory comes to this position with a range of career experiences and skill sets having worked for major corporations such as Turner Broadcasting, SunTrust Bank, Cisco Systems and Warner Music Group. As Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President of Warner Music Group, she implemented corporate community initiatives and served on the principal organizing committee for the “Jay-Z and Friends Charity Concert” held on September 11, 2009 at Madison Square Garden which resulted in raising over $1 million for the New York City Fire and Police Widow’s Fund.
Additionally, Ms. Ivory worked on major political campaigns including Obama For America 2008, Jim Martin for Senate and Kasim Reed for Mayor of Atlanta. Many of the voting advocacy and fundraising programs she implemented while on the campaign trail have received national news coverage from CNN, MTV, ABC and BET.
Prior to working in politics, Ms. Ivory was President and General Counsel of Ivory Properties, a boutique real estate construction and development firm she founded in 2002. Ms. Ivory is a licensed attorney in multiple states and practiced as an entertainment and technology attorney from 1994-2002. She also hosted a talk show on CBS Radio WPHT and co-hosted the morning show on WPHI 103.9 in Philadelphia, PA.
Ms. Ivory is a graduate of Spelman College with a degree in Political Science and earned her law degree from Temple University School of Law. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and numerous other service organizations. Ms. Ivory sits on the board of St. Jude’s Recovery Center and the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. She grew up in New York City and now resides in Atlanta, GA with her daughter.
