Bio: Matt Holmes has been a proud Atlantan since 2009. He came south after stints covering news and sports in markets like Charlottesville, Nashville and Washington, DC. Matt’s first stop in Atlanta was at 11Alive News, where he produced the morning show and was a regular contributor to the Wake Up with Chesley program. He found his way back to his passion — sports — once 92.9 the Game started up in 2012. A proud graduate of the University of Maryland, Matt won National Championship (2002) and ACC Championship (2004) rings as a student manager for the men’s basketball team. He may also be the only man in the history of the ACC to get into a fistfight with the Demon Deacon mascot after a game at Wake Forest. Most importantly, Matt is a lifelong Braves fan, having grown up rooting for the Triple-A affiliate in his hometown of Richmond.
