Jon Jeffries

Jon Jeffries
Sports Director / Anchor / Reporter

Working in radio since 1978, Jon has interviewed many top entertainers such as Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen Degeneres, Drew Carey, the late Sam Kinison, and has covered appearances by former presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. He enjoyed playing baseball as a kid, and racquetball as a young adult but now, it’s all golf, golf and more golf. Among his favorite sports experiences, he notes seeing Lou Brock steal a base in a game right before, at that time, breaking the record for the most in a season. He also recalls seeing Bob Gibson get his 3,000th strike-out — then years later, playing golf in Gibson’s celebrity / charity golf tournament, where he got to be in the same room with Gibson and Sandy Koufax. Signature phrase: “Jack of all trades, master of fun!”
