Chris Goforth is a Jasper, Tennessee native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, where he was a classmate of Terrell Owens. An avid sports fan from birth, his broadcasting career began at 17-years old broadcasting high school basketball games for a local public access TV station. Chris has hosted his own sports radio show in Chattanooga, TN and the surrounding areas since 1993.
2014 will mark his 19th season doing high school football play by play. He’s broadcast six SEC Women’s Basketball Tournaments, two Southern Conference Basketball Tournaments and was the play by play voice for the UT-Chattanooga Lady Mocs from 1995-1999. He also hosted the UTC women’s basketball coaches show for CSS from 2008-2011. Chris has also worked as an analyst on the FCS Game of the Week, the only national radio broadcast of the Football Championship Subdivision. Chris is the co-host of “The 5th Quarter” a weekly high school and college football show that’s seen in Chattanooga on Fox 61-TV. A self proclaimed college football junkie and life-long Braves fan, Chris and wife Christie have two daughters Paige (9), Megan (5) and two Shih Tzu’s Muffin and Minnie.
