Carl Dukes: This Is Not On Dan Quinn – Stop It! Just Stop It!

THE FALCONS OFFENSE HAS shut down. The 49ers held Falcons running back Devonta Freeman in check. Freeman entered the game leading the league in rushing, but was held to 12 yards on 12 carries. The Falcons averaged 126 yards rushing per game, which ranked eighth in the league, before facing San Francisco… RIDICULOUS!

Carl Dukes: Mistake Prone Falcons Can’t Get Out Of Their Own Way

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bounced back after blowing a 17-point lead, getting a 31-yard field goal from Connor Barth in overtime to beat the mistake-prone Falcon 23-20 on Sunday. But as a fan I am disappointed! You should be too! This was another bad game for the Falcons who moved the ball up and down the field on the Bucs, but had nothing to show for it most of the day because they played undisciplined football! Matt was bad in the 1st half / Great in the 2nd. The Falcons sustained some injuries, but I will not make excuses for a team we should have beat. Jameis Winston throw for only 177 yards and a TD. But in Overtime “Dukesism” ‘when it matters most’ he played like a guy that had been in this situation numerous times. The story of this game was turnovers. The Falcons turned the ball over 4 times and had a hard time getting out of their own way. They kept themselves from putting points on the board and keeping the Bucs offense off the field with 11 penalties for 124 yards. Terrible!

Carl Dukes: If Not Richt, Then Who?

Here we are again. Same story, different year. We came into the beginning of the season with tons of hype and a stacked, talented team. Another signing class full of stars and an off-season with all the right things seeming to happen. And yet again, we dare to hope… Is this FINALLY our year???

NFC South: Another Year As The Red-headed Step-children Of The NFC?

No one will disagree that last year was an abomination when it came to the NFC South. The best team, the Carolina Panthers, went a terrible 7-8-1, including 2 victories against the D-II Buccaneers (Good […]
