First, I would like to say that the ordering and delivery service was great- very clear and thorough. I had my food delivered to me at my place of work, and the delivery came rather quickly. However, every item that I ordered was absolutely HORRIBLE. I ordered the vegetable lo mien, which somehow tasted very fishy and bland. Next was the spring rolls- alot of roll and not enough spring... it was mostly bread with a leaf in it. Finally, there was the edamame.... overcooked to perfection.
For $18 and some change, this is some expensive crap. Great service, but overly priced food. I do not recommend!
The service of this establishment from the phone call to delivery was awesome. They faxed over a menu and remembered me when I called back. The food arrived fast, was hot and delicious. White meat chicken with the fat trimmed off was only used in the dishes. The beef had the fat trimmed away also. All of the vegetables were crisp and there was not an over abundance of sauce. I am a culinary student graduating in the spring. I will definitely be coming back!
Never Again! Mediocre Food, High Prices & Poor Service
Pros: The fortune cookie was delicious!\r
Cons: Small portions, General Tsos Chicken was WAY TOO sugary and loaded with sauce, Egg Drop soup was like jelly, prices are not worth the meal (they also charge an extra $2 for delivery), delivery was slow (AND driver was rude).\r
Bottom line - I've tried this place a couple times (decided to try again after not being too impressed the first time) and the food itself was just OKAY. I ordered General Tsos Chicken and Egg Drop soup both times and while the chicken was decent, the portion was really small and loaded with a bunch of sugary sauce and veggies. I'm sorry, but when I order chicken... I expect to get some chicken! Most Chinese places give you big portions but I was still hungry after eating from here. My favorite chinese dish is actually Shrimp Egg Foo Young... but after the lady on the phone told me that they PRE-MAKE their patties, I was completely turned off and opted for the General Tsos instead. Just for your reference, food should be prepared fresh and made to order, so that pre-made crap is NOT acceptable! Their egg drop soup was also gummy and almost jelly-like (eek!) and the girl on the phone wasn't the friendliest. They also have a $2.00 delivery charge on top of the $10 minimum, which is ridiculous compared to most places in the area that only have a $10 minimum delivery policy and NO additional charge. \r
My advice, try another Chinese spot. This place really isn't worth it and after paying the price, you might find yourself kinda disappointed here and wanting your money back...
