don't be just another sheep

Like everyone else, based on the reputation of Alfredo?s, I was excited to give it a shot. And willing to give it another shot. And another shot. And another shot. Before I finally gave up after giving this restaurant a last shot.\r \r All my dining experiences at Alfredo?s can be summed up in one word: Uninspired. The sauces have been bland, the deserts flavorless, the reservations irrelevant and the service lackadaisical.\r \r Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me five times, shame on me.\r \r This is a place that, as near as I gather, survives on its reputation, the novelty of which has blinded individuals to the point that they actually believe the place is deserving of it. Perhaps it was spectacular in the beginning, but it is nothing out of the ordinary now. In fact, the only thing that separates it from most every other garden-variety Italian place is its shabby exterior and its length of its existence -- both of which contribute to the ongoing fallacy of its superior product.\r \r Why do people think that just because something has been around for a while makes it worth the trip? It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.\r \r Alfredo's is most certainly not worth its reputation. Trust me. Trust my wife. Trust my parents. Trust my friends. Trust my in-laws.\r \r And the only way for others to recognize that is for people to see through this place, which is surviving on the strength of its undeserved reputation.

Absolutely the best authentic Italian!! Great food, service and portions.

We made reservations for 8 people and were seated shortly after arriving. We did find the restaurant to be small and the restrooms to leave a lot to be desired (no changing table for our baby) but the service and the food MORE Than compensated for that! They start you out with a relish tray that was tasty and unusual. It had olives, pickles and pickled cauliflower. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was phenomenal-not chewy at all!! Perfectly cooked with a side of fresh marinara sauce. Then, the awesome bread basket was warm and had garlic breads in it. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and each order was perfect! My husband and I ordered two entrees each (1/2 portions on the same plate) and got to try a lot of different things. By far, the cannelloni was the best thing on the table!!! It was rich and creamy and seasoned perfectly! I am smiling just thinking about it. We also had fettuccine alfredo, lasagna and stuffed shells as well as a pesto chicken dish on the table. All were great and we all had leftovers for lunch the next day:) Highly recommend this restaurant!! We went on a Thursday evening at 6pm and the line was out the door by 6:30pm-be sure to go early and get a reservation!! We can't wait to go back to Atlanta to eat there again.

Long wait, Great food

The food here is amazing, everything was good. We went with a large group and everyone got something different - there was nothing I didn't like. The wait was pretty long though, even with reservations. But the service made up for it.

Amazing experience

Time and time again, Alfredo's impresses me. Their garlic bread and escargot is amazing, as is every pasta dish I've tried. The service is impeccable. Ask for the lobster ravioli (it's not on the menu). It's our favorite place to celebrate special occasions because we know we'll be taken care of, with no pretense. Just great Italian food.

Good Italian Food For The $

My husband chose to go to Alfredo's one evening hearing that the restaurant had outstanding Italian food, and to the restaurant's credit, the food was extremely good! However, there were a few drawbacks to the place. First, the restaurant is extraordinarily small and VERY crowded. Even with reservations, we still waited for about an hour to be seated. The restaurant is old and established, and thus, I think the staff plays favorites with recurring customers- which I suppose is understandable. Lastly, the decor has not been renovated for about 30 years, so it can feel like going back in time to the 70s. Despite the drawbacks, overall, the food was good, and once we were seated, it was a pleasant experience.

It is my favorite rest. in Atlanta. It is an authentic atmoshpere with the best food for the price I have ever had. It is the kind of place that when you leave, you know you will be back. I had the veal chop (most expensive thing at $30) and it was truely remarkable. This is an absolute must try!

Marvelous Food!!

Alfredos is probably Atlanta's best kept secret, unknown to most tourists, this restaurant is hidden from the tourist invasions, out on Cheshire Bridge Rd. The food is fantastic, HUGE portions, very reasonable prices, and pretty good service. I highly recommend this petit ""bistro"" over the higher priced Italian restaurants. Also, if its not on the menu, ask them. They have prepared many meals for me that were not listed on their menu.

I recently moved to altanta and my family was coming for the first time so I really needed to impress them. Alfredo's did this and more. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and the service was fast but not rushed. The food was amazing and my family now raves about Altanta and how much they look forward to coming down and going to Alfredo's again.

I recently went to Alfredo's Italian restaurant and do not let others fool you, but they are indeed by far the best authentic Italian restaurant in Atlanta. Their prices for the seafood and steak cannot by beat or even matched by any other place in the city. The wine lists are extraordinary. Inside you will eat under candlelight and be served by the best waiters around. The parking lot has been enlarged to accomodate the many patrons that frequent Alfredo's. I reccomend everyone in Atlanta go to Alfredo's at least once because you will not regret it.

alfredo's is the best. out of all great dining in atlanta. alfredo's is definitely the best bang for your buck. Rudy(a wonderful waiter there) is the best. He treats everyone as if they are the only customer in the restaraunt. they hand cut their steaks (to order) and will mix blend or customize any order to your liking. It is reasonable and the seafood as well as traditional italian dishes are the best!
