Residents in the City of South Fulton are yet again at odds with the city council. In an effort to combat the surge of crimes committed by young adults, Councilwoman Helen Willis is drafting a new proposal that would hold parents accountable for their children’s criminal behavior. Councilwoman Willis discussed the controversial proposal that states, parents could face up to a one-hundred dollar fine and up to 30 days in jail by failing to supervise their children.
The Parental Accountability Ordinance is still being drafted and residents will have an opportunity to weigh in Monday, January 29th at 6:30pm at the South Fulton Annex.
