Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn joined John and Hugh on Wednesday to talk about the team’s preparation in their ‘revenge’ game against the Patriots. On an injury front, both Courtney Upshaw and Mohamed Sanu will be back at practice today. As far as the second-half struggles, Coach Quinn said he attributes that to the turnover margin as being the biggest factor but is confident they can still get things turned around.
The rematch with the Patriots will be the big Sunday Night Football game. Dan Quinn agrees with Tom Brady on the familiarity of the team making it a little easier as far as preparation but tougher when it comes to execution. Although New England ranks last in nearly every statistical category, recently they’ve been able to limit explosive plays and creating turnovers. However, it’s still early in the season and defenses are still trying to feel each other out. Offensively for the Falcons, Coach Quinn talked about creating more opportunities for Julio Jones, who’s 18th in yards. He’s not concerned by the stats and “we can count on a bunch of targets going his way this week.”
