Breadwinner Cafe and Bakery is a true Atlanta success story. Started in 2005 out of owners Geoff and Katie Melkonian’s kitchen, Breadwinner’s signature item has always been its pumpkin bread. Using Katie’s grandmother’s recipe as a base, the couple sold bread to local restaurants and shops before opening their own cafe in 2010. Now they bake and ship pumpkin and other flavors of bread all over the country. But locals can still visit the Cafe to get the freshest pumpkin bread in the Atlanta area, as well as a selection of soups, sandwiches, and salads.

Most pumpkin preparations for Fall are hot, such as the lattes, bread, and pies we’ve previously had in this list. But that doesn’t mean a cold pumpkin preparation isn’t welcome. In this case, a quick 35 minute drive south to Stockbridge and Yule Forest’s Pumpkin Patch. One of the largest pumpkin patches in Georgia, you can buy a pre-cut pumpkin or cut your own. But there’s more for the family to do at Yule Forest than just buy a pumpkin. You can also take a hayride, visit a petting zoo, or take a trip through the hay maze.
