Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn joined John and Hugh on Wednesday to talk about the team’s preparation for their match-up against the Lions on Sunday.
With the injuries along the defensive side of the ball, Quinn said it’s good that guys have the versatility to step in when other guys are down. This is something all teams will go through throughout the season.
Offensively, Quinn talks about the speed and length of Ezekiel Ansah, and the tackling ability in general of the Lions defense. If Ryan Schraeder isn’t able to go, Ty Sambrailo would be the guy that will step in. As far as right guard Wes Schweitzer, Quinn saw a “tick-up” in his performance; he didn’t see the same mistakes being made which is a good sign. The Lions defense will be another good challenge for the offensive line.
Fun fact: Coach Quinn said they’ll sometime bring in the TV copy into the team’s film study because of the high-definition and the angles they use.
