Chevron Manager Addresses The Beating Of A Woman By A Dekalb County Officer

For the first time since the much publicized police beating of a homeless woman happened, Manager Khalid Hussain of the Chevron gas station and convenience store on Glenwood Road in Decatur answered questions about the incident. On June 4, 2017 cell phone video taken by another customer captured a DeKalb County Police Officer beating Katie McCrary a homeless African-American woman in the store while charging her with resisting arrest. After an internal affairs investigation by DeKalb County Police the Officer was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Since the release of the video members of the community have started protesting against the owner of the store and the investigation has been reopened against the officer.
