The Fourth of July holiday is here and American’s nationwide are gearing up for many exciting full-filled activities. Many of those activities will require people to travel and will include the consumption of alcohol.
For the holiday, AAA is partnering with Anheuser-Busch to offer its Tow To Go program this Tuesday, July 4th through 6am Wednesday morning, July 5th.
Tow To Go offers passengers and their vehicle a confidential local ride to a safe locations within 10 miles. This program is free and available to AAA members and non-members in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, and Indiana.
“The Tow To Go program is an effective way to promote the use of Designated Drivers and help prevent impaired driving,” said Katja Zastrow, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for Anheuser-Busch.
Since 1998, Tow To Go is has been a safety net for motorist who did not plan a designated ride home and has successfully removed over 24,000 impaired drivers from the road.
“If you’re celebrating with alcohol this weekend and not planning ahead, you are risking more lives than just your own,” said Amy Stracke, Managing Director, Traffic Safety Advocacy for AAA.
