Atlanta’s roads are treacherous, traffic is dreadful, however the city is making a serious initiative to encourage cycling as a legitimate form of transportation.
June 10 through June 17, cyclists are taking over the streets during The Atlanta Cycling Festival.
Citizens interested in the festivities can come enjoy a week long of Atlanta bicycle rides, bicycle classes and bicycle parties.
Throughout the week people can discover new routes around the city, engage with other bike riders, bike art, bike films, bike tech, bike jobs, and much more.
Since its inauguration in 2014, the goal of the festival has been to connect anyone on two wheels to the Atlanta bicycle community.
It does not matter if you do not own a fancy bicycle because there will be all types of rides, with all types of people with various skill levels. Each ride will be broken up in three skill levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you have a functioning bike, you are welcome to join!
