Families come together on Memorial Day for cookouts, parades, festivals and just plain fun. This day is to officially honor and pay respect to those who have fallen in the service of this country. There are many ways in Atlanta to celebrate your family and just spend some quality time together.

Come on out and join the fun at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. There are many fun things to do at the center. The staff provides medical attention to the injured birds of prey, amphibians and reptiles. In doing so they hope to return them to the wild. In the event that they cannot be returned to the wild, they can become permanent residents of the nature center. In this way, they can used for educational purposes and teach visitors the importance of protecting our wildlife. There are also many trails to explore, and beautiful plants to behold. It’s a nice place for families to spend time together and enjoy what mother nature has to offer. All in all, makes a nice trip for celebrating Memorial Day or just any day of the year.
