GWINNETT COUNTY, GA- Cops are looking for a man they say is targeting the elderly in a tree trimming scam. Investigators say Andrew Mosley, 22, of Flowery Branch, conned 14 victims out of thousands of dollars.
“He’s a con man, oh yeah. He really knows how to lay on the charm,” Kathryn Welden said.
Welden said the man worked for just one day to trim trees around her Dacula home and asked for his payment long before the work was done.
Welden handed over the full $2,800 and Mosley never returned.
The suspect is believed to have scammed people in and around Gwinnett County dating back to last summer. Cops said he used a fake business where he posed as a tree cutting and removal service, and used different company names. According to police, some of those false names included B&M Tree Services, Mosley Tree Service and United Tree Service.
