ATLANTA,GA- An Atlanta man accused of threatening the staff of U.S. Rep. John Lewis is set to appear in court for a hearing Monday to decide whether he’ll continue to be held in custody. The detention hearing for Antoine Rosser, 42 has been set for 11 a.m. In the criminal complaint, investigators say harassing and threatening calls to the office on Peachtree street downtown started in January of 2016 with Rosser allegedly demanding Congressman Lewis seek financial reparations for him and his family.
The alleged incident took place on February 23 when he allegedly told a staffer quote, “I will blow your head off. You’re dead. You’re dead.
In the criminal complaint, investigators said Rosser also suggested staffers should be concerned for their safety “since they have to leave the office.
Fulton County jail records show he’s been arrested several times since 1991 for crimes including cocaine possession, abandonment of a minor child and simple battery.
