ATALNATA, GA- a DeKalb County fatal crash claimed three lives Saturday. Following an investigation, cops said Tuesday the crash was likely caused by street racing.

The incident occurred on Interstate 285 near Moreland Avenue when the driver of a Camaro clipped another Camaro and both cars lost control. police said.

The victims were identified as driver Marshall Hill, 31, of Decatur; Phillip Smith, 32 of Lithonia; and Mariah Page, 22, of Lawrenceville.

The other driver, identified as Kane Danger, 35, was hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital. He faces three counts of vehicular homicide, police said

Police said excessive speed was a factor in the crash.

“Whether or not street racing was a factor, that’s something traffic specialists will investigate,” DeKalb County police Maj. Stephen Fore said.

Police said if street racing turns out to be the cause of the crash, Danger could face additional charges.
