The Atlanta Falcons got the first big break of Super Bowl Sunday when linebacker Deion Jones stripped Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount while the Pats were driving inside Falcons territory. That turnover gave the Falcons offense another crack at the Pats defense that had stuffed them on the first two drives of the game.

Matt Ryan and company worked their way down the field with a couple of long receptions by Julio Jones before Devonta Freeman started gashing the Pats D. Freeman ripped off runs of 15 and nine yards on back-to-back plays to get the Falcons down to the Patriots four. After a New England timeout, Freeman made another tremendous cut and had nothing but green grass in front of him for an easy five yard touchdown to open the scoring.

The score gave the Falcons a 7-0 lead.
