ATLANTA — After the Hawks’ 131-120 loss to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, Mike Conti spoke about some of the troubles Atlanta faced.
- Orlando came in 29th in the league in points per game and scored 131, the most the Hawks have given up since 2008.
- Orlando shot 59 percent.
- In December, the Hawks have given up 114.5 points per game in six contests. Only four teams in the NBA over that span have had a worse scoring defense.
“It feels like every time the Hawks take a step forward — even a little step like they had Friday night in that 20-point comeback in Milwaukee — they take a giant step back,” Conti said. “That’s the way it’s been over the last month for the Hawks.”
