Julio Jones has been dominating the Panthers secondary all day long. He recorded 170 yards on seven catches in the first half as the Falcons raced out to a 17-10 lead. In the second half, he continued to do more of the same.
After the Panthers cut the lead down to just five points at 31-26 in the fourth quarter, Jones took over and set a new career high for receiving yards in a game in the process.
That catch gave Julio 12 on the day for a total of 300 yards. Yes, you read that correctly. 300 yards. In case you’re wondering, that 300 yards is sixth all-time in NFL history for most receiving yards in a game. Just 36 behind Flipper Johnson, who set the record with 336 yards for the Los Angeles Rams against the New Orleans Saints in 1989.
