Gwinnett Teen In Critical Condition After Accidental Shooting

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – Gwinnett police arrived at a Norcross home Monday evening and found a 14 year old boy injured from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Cops said the incident happened in the 1400 block of Wingfoot Way. Apparently Fredis Rodriguez was playing with a loaded .40 caliber gun at his friends house. The gun discharged and struck the boy in the head. The teen was rushed to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where he was listed in critical condition. At the time of the shooting there were were two children and two adults in the home.
Police later disclosed the gun was stolen back in June out of Marietta. As of this writing, there are no charges expected to be filed against the adults how were inside the home at the time.
