The Morning Sports News: ‘Adding A Familiar Face?’

The Falcons are getting some rest and assessing their injuries following their Sunday win at Oakland with all eyes on Julio Jones after reports surfaced Monday that he got an MRI on his calf. The guys talked about the reports that O’Brien Schofield has been rumored to be joining the team this week, Hugh said “He’s a guy who could help this defense, especially with the pass rush, and this makes me wonder if Brooks Reed could be hurt worse than initially thought.”

In New York Monday night the Braves Aaron Blair finally broke through for his first win in 13 Major League start, with his team topping the Mets 7-3.  Blair gave up two runs over six innings and yielded only four hits, while Freddie Freeman went four for five and drove in three runs.  Tonight Julio Tehran goes to the mound he’s got an 0.78 ERA against the Mets this season.

Monday night football saw the Eagles beat the Bears 29-14 with Ryan Matthews running for two touchdowns and Carson Wentz throwing for one.  That makes the Eagles 2-0 while Chicago falls to 0-2.
