Gainesville Murder Suspect Sought

GAINESVILLE, GA – A police search is underway for a man cops say is a killer and responsible for the death of a Gainesville man on September 9.

Terry Jerome Maddox, 30, was shot several times at a home on the 900 block of Athens Street in Gainesville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A murder warrant has been issued for 33 year-old Darvis Bledson, who is believed to be in the Atlanta area.

Bledson, who also goes by the nickname “Tookie”, is described as a black male, standing about 5’5″ and weighing around 175 pounds. He has a tattoo reading “Michelle” on his neck and also has multiple others on his chest. Bledson is considered armed and dangerous, according to police
