Only one day after thousands of students found the doors closed to ITT Tech Schools around the country, officials at Atlanta Technical College have pledged to help students complete their education. Officials say ITT Tech students can continue their education at Atlanta Tech beginning in October.
The school is holding special information sessions several times in September to provide more information. ATC officials also say the application fee to the school will be waived for ITT students. The information sessions are scheduled for September 12 (5-7pm), September 15 (5-7pm), September 16 (9am-1pm), September 22 (5-7pm), September 23 (9am-1pm), and September 29 (9am-1pm).
ITT Tech schools across the nation closed their doors displacing 8 thousand employees and as many as 40 thousand students on Monday after federal officials banned the school from accepting any students who rely on federal financial aid. The school was also required to put aside $247.3 million in case the school went out of business.
In Georgia, ITT Tech campuses were located in Douglasville, Kennesaw, Duluth and Atlanta.
