Sheriff Victor Hill Gets Probation And Fine

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill pleaded no contest to reckless conduct charges in an accidental shooting.

Hill was indicted by a Gwinnett county grand jury on one count last fall. Hill faced charges after a shooting incident that involved a real estate agent friend inside a Lawrenceville model home.

Sheriff Hill pleaded no contest as a first offender in the shooting. The victim, Gwenevere McCord, asked that Hill not face charges for the shooting that she called accidental. Gwinnett county District Attorney Danny Porter conferred with other DA’s in other municipalities. He posed Hill’s present circumstances , but applied them to an ordinary citizen.

As part of the plea, Hill must serve 12 months probation and pay a $1,000 fine.
