Today On Too Much Truth with Derrick Boazman: The Vine City Battle

Today on Too Much Truth with Derrick Boazman. We posed the question: Should there be a park built in Vine City that features memorials to confederate soldiers and an avowed racist? The proposed Mims Park is to be named for former Atlanta Mayor Livingston Mims who also ran the all white Capitol City Club. Atlanta City Councilman Ivory Young says the park will be an enhancement to the community. Community Activist Joe Beasley says its a betrayal of the struggle of Black people! NAACP Atlanta Metro Branch President Richard Rose also joined the conversation. What do you say? The heat was turned up when black advocates of Vine City and Atlanta started to call and voice their opinions in defense of any and all of their forefathers like Dr. Martin Luther King and Former Mayor Maynard Jackson.
