On one of the muggiest days of camp so far, Falcons’ Defensive End Vic Beasley, Jr came out after practice to sit down with Rick Kamla and John Michaels and talk a little football.
Beasley apologized for the delay in getting out there and said he was lifting weights immediately following practice, This man is dedicated to becoming bigger, stronger and faster. No apology needed. We want him to raise the bar on the defense this year as well.
Vic says, “I’m just trying to work hard and put on a little weight and be the best I can be.”
Beasley says he took some time off in the off-season and traveled to “Hawaii, Guam and visited the troops.”
Rick Kamla said, “You helped make the defense better last year, going from ranked 32nd to 16th, and we’re looking to move up again this year.” Rick noted that Beasley has had a position change and asked Vic about that.
Beasley answered, “It’s a great position change. I played Linebacker a little bit in college (Clemson) but not as much as I did Defensive End, but I’m adjusting to the position and being able to drop in coverage.”
