Maria Boynton Reports: Family Calls For Changes To Youth Sports After Son Dies Of Heat Stroke

The family of a 12 year old boy, who collapsed during football drills at Welcome All Park in Fulton County on July 14, has secured an attorney following the boy’s death. Attorney Mawuli Davis says the family of Johnny Tolbert, wants changes made to the rules governing youth sports. When the child collapsed around 7:30 in the evening, temperatures were in the 90 degree range.

Funeral services for Tolbert will be held Saturday. A Gofundme page has been set up for the family.
