Former Dawg, Now ESPN Analyst Maria Taylor Joins John and Arch

You saw her on the court for the Lady Bulldogs, now she’s on the sidelines for ESPN, Maria Taylor joined John and Arch live from SEC Media Days.

Maria talked about being a UGA fan and the decision to relieve Richt of his coaching position and bringing Kirby Smart. Maria talked about how she is able to wear her UGA pride on her sleeve evening while reporting for SEC Networking, but keeping it professional while on the field and talking to the coaches.

Maria mentioned the pride in Athens and the 93,000 people that showed up for G day and what they are looking forward to seeing from Kirby Smart. Maria said she has the best of both worlds by being able to host shows and work the road as well covering games. Maria talked about the power Pat Summitt had in the SEC and said she wouldn’t be where she is today if Pat Summitt hadn’t blazed the trail for women’s athletics. Maria says she is giving UT the vote for number one in the SEC East.
